What is Jupiter Project (JUP)?

Source description

“BLOCKCHAIN is cutting edge technology that has the ability to solve many fundamental problems in society. Using Jupiter, we strive to make this technology accessible by everyone and that is why we created Gravity, a versatile framework that interfaces with our blockchain, Jupiter. Gravity allows us to build distributed applications (DAPPS) that solve issues involving trust, provenance, privacy, security and accountability, for businesses and consumers alike. With Gravity, legacy applications can be upgraded to a blockchain-enabled web application with the capability of storing data in an encrypted, immutable and replicated fashion. Our applications can be internal or external facing based on the clients and regulatory requirements. The open-source Jupiter software is the core of our operations. It powers our public blockchain, allowing anyone to participate. Jupiter can also be deployed in a private network based on the clients’ requirements for their approved users only. Data is always encrypted – Locally at the level of the application using military-grade encryption, then it is sent to processing nodes via SSL and encrypted using Jupiter’s built in protocol encryption before being stored. Automatic data replication across nodes – Jupiter fully and automatically replicates data to any conforming node on the Jupiter network. A private blockchain is an alternative to store sensitive information whereby company policy or laws make it impossible to store them on the public chain. Data is immutable, nodes are easily replaced – Every node in a public decentralized system or private blockchain has a consensus correct copy of the blockchain database.”

Jupiter Project (JUP) FAQ

How does Gravity support blockchain-enabled applications?

The project presents Gravity as a framework that connects applications with the Jupiter blockchain. It says the framework can help upgrade legacy applications into blockchain-enabled web applications, with potential support for encrypted, immutable, and replicated data. The stated applications may serve internal or external users, depending on client needs and regulatory requirements.

How does Jupiter handle data encryption during processing and storage?

Jupiter states that data is encrypted at multiple stages. The application is said to apply local encryption before data travels to processing nodes through SSL. The project further says Jupiter’s protocol encryption protects the data before storage. These statements describe the platform’s claimed security architecture rather than an independently assessed security result.

What role does data replication play on the Jupiter network?

The project says Jupiter replicates data across conforming nodes on its network, so participating nodes maintain copies of the blockchain’s records. It presents this structure as supporting resilience and consistency across the network. The stated model applies to both public participation and private deployments restricted to approved users, subject to the chosen network configuration.

Can Jupiter be used in a private blockchain environment?

Jupiter states that its software can operate on a private network for approved users selected according to client requirements. It positions this option for situations in which company policies or legal requirements make a public chain unsuitable for sensitive material. The project says private deployments retain encrypted, replicated, and consensus-maintained records while limiting participation.

How does consensus contribute to record integrity in Jupiter?

The project says each participating node maintains a consensus-consistent copy of the chain’s records. It presents consensus algorithms as the mechanism for maintaining agreement among nodes and supporting verifiability of stored records. Jupiter describes the same general principle for public and private networks, although it does not specify the particular consensus algorithm used.

Jupiter Project metric comparison

This comparison is a stored snapshot generated 2026-10-23 06:31 UTC from 292 daily observations available from 2025-12-30 through 2026-10-23. It is separate from the latest analytical cards above. Percentiles compare the snapshot value with that day's analytical universe; a higher percentile means a larger observed value, not necessarily a better investment characteristic.

YearBull Rank is a comparative ordering used on YearBull to place a coin versus others using a consistent set of inputs. Lower rank numbers indicate stronger placement in the current snapshot. It is a context signal for relative placement, not an outcome forecast.

Execution context: If rank holds gains, the footprint is likely supporting the move.

Risk view: If it improves then retraces fast, treat it as rotation pressure.

Rotation context: If the line is range-bound, treat changes as relative, not absolute.

Liquidity view: If the curve jumps, check whether the cohort moved too (relative effects).
