What is Pine (PINE)?

Source description

“The native cryptographically-secured fungible protocol token of Pine (ticker symbol $PINE) is a transferable representation of attributed governance and utility functions specified in the protocol/code of Pine, and which is designed to be used solely as an interoperable utility token thereon. $PINE functions as the native governance token, access token, and economic incentives which will be distributed to encourage users to exert efforts towards contribution and participation in the ecosystem on Pine, thereby creating a mutually beneficial system where every participant is fairly compensated for its efforts. $PINE is an integral and indispensable part of Pine, because without $PINE, there would be no incentive for users to expend resources to participate in activities or provide services for the benefit of the entire ecosystem on Pine. Given that additional $PINE will be awarded to a user based only on its actual usage, activity and efforts made on Pine and/or proportionate to the frequency and volume of transactions, users of Pine and/or holders of $PINE which did not actively participate will not receive any $PINE incentives. $PINE Holders will have control over the PineDAO which governs both the Pine protocol and the Pine Platform and manages their future development.”

Pine (PINE) FAQ

How does Pine describe $PINE’s role in governance?

The project describes $PINE as PineDAO’s governance token. Holders may propose and vote on on-chain proposals concerning Pine’s features and parameters, with voting weight calculated according to the tokens staked. The stated governance scope is limited to the Pine protocol and platform; it does not provide equity, control over affiliated companies, or the right to select their directors.

How are $PINE incentives linked to participation in Pine’s liquidity pools?

Pine states that users who deposit assets into borrowing liquidity pools can receive $PINE rewards based on their relative contribution, subject to adjustment and correction parameters. Liquidity providers may stake or contribute assets in exchange for LP tokens. The project presents this mechanism as a way to encourage liquidity for NFT-backed loans and direct governance tokens toward active network contributors.

What benefits are associated with Pine’s $PINE loyalty tiers?

The project positions $PINE as a loyalty membership point used to classify users into different tiers. Tier placement may reflect the amount of $PINE held, user activity, and transaction volume. Described examples of tier-based benefits include early access to selected liquidated NFT assets, discounts on borrowing interest rates or service fees, and platform seniority that may allow lenders to offer loans at more favorable rates.

How could the PineDAO Treasury be used under the described governance model?

Pine states that holders may propose uses for the PineDAO Treasury, which the project describes as holding protocol funds. Examples include maintenance, protocol or platform enhancements, grants, strategic partnership budgets, governance initiatives, and other incentive programs. These uses would be subject to the described proposal and voting process rather than being presented as unilateral decisions by an individual or corporate controller.

Pine metric comparison

This comparison is a stored snapshot generated 2026-10-24 06:30 UTC from 267 daily observations available from 2025-12-31 through 2026-10-24. It is separate from the latest analytical cards above. Percentiles compare the snapshot value with that day's analytical universe; a higher percentile means a larger observed value, not necessarily a better investment characteristic.

YearBull Rank is a comparative ordering used on YearBull to place a coin versus others using a consistent set of inputs. It is meant for comparison and tracking, not certainty.

Risk profile: short bursts do not always translate into durable placement. If the last week is quiet, the current rank is usually easier to trust.

Orderflow context: stable placement often correlates with stable participation. If the curve improves but won’t hold, treat it as flow-driven.

Cycle framing: sideways periods still reshuffle relative placement. If 7d and 30d disagree, treat it as a transition window.

Exchange footprint: one venue can dominate the profile in short windows. If the line range widens, access or routing may be changing.
